[fixed] Win XP/2k + New Hardware - doesn\'t work

Post by TulumbaOptiks »

on my new PC Resolume only worked 1 time and never again. Have re-installed my System (Windows) very often, it worked under XP SP1a, but after a reboot it was over. Now i'm running SP2 and have the same errors (under 2k also). After resolume started, i can't even drop 1 movie/flash/picture in a deck, windows brings an error about saving data and closing application. Also the lines in Timelines etc. are not viewn.

After hitting the apply-button in screen setup (which is also not viewed correctly

- only after apllying i can see configure it), the View is almost correct, i can droß videos etc. in decks, but they won't play/move. I see the preview picture, but no output. Also for example the Window-preview doesn't work.
Resolume 1.51 is working fine, also Arkaos etc....

i don't know why it doesn't work, but it should. It really worked once, but only one time :/
so it must work i think, but something must be wrong! plz help!!!

MSI Neo 925XE Platinum

1x Maxtor 200 GB 7,2k 8MB SATA
2x Western Digital Raptor 74GB@Raid 0 SATA

I had exactly this problem, but cant remember how I fixed it!
I seem to remember it was a driver problem, so Try installing either older or newer drivers! I have a feeling there was an incorrectly unninstalled dual view driver lurking in there, so try add remove hardware->uninstall-> show all devices and manually uninstalling all the dual view and gfx drivers there are. I think mine had an ATI driver lurking in there as well. Also if your using nvidia I found that running n-view at least once added bits to the driver that werent in there if you didnt.#
Let us know if it works or doesnt and I'll try and remember other things I tried!

it's running!!! :)
iii'm soo glad!
have installed an older ATI Catalyst (Version 4.7, think the wxp-w2k-catalyst-8-03-040610a-016126c.exe it was), and reinstalled Resolume2, and now it works!
Can't wait for the next gig first time using resolume2 on my monster-machine! :) :)
