BMD Decklink Cards

Post by servant812 »

Hi, Looking at installing a decklink card of some sort into our resolume machine, I'd like to input SDI and simultaneously output SDI. Do i need 2 cards or would a decklink 4k do both at the same time? Similarly would a quad be able to do 4 ins and 4 outs simultaneously?
Also whats the latency like? I know it was fairly slow back in the day using an intensity card to input a camera and then outputing via the gfx card and converting to sdi.
One of my other thoughts is to modify my second Resolume machine that currently has 2 graphics cards to give me 8 outputs, thinking of using the quad 2 to give me 6 sdi outputs and 2 inputs instead of using converters.
Thanks.

The Decklink Quad won't but the Quad 2 will - https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/media/ ... 0150911-03

Minimal latency ~2-3fps
