THAT OLD DVD-MAX 2ND SCREEN THING AGAIN

Post by Anonymous »

have been running res2 for a few months on a desktop. it's great. bought an acer travel mate 291ilm to use in clubs. wont work. DVD MAx causes res 2 to crash everytime. there's no problem extending the desktop. have tried latest drivers/ messsing with the audio component, running video files befor i enable the 2nd output.
I have no graphics card in the laptop. The grtaphics controler is intel(r) 82852/82855 gm/gme. and realtek ac97 audio.
this is really annoying me, like a scab you have to pick at .
Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, DVDMax/Theatremode is only supported on Matrox/ATI video cards, respectively.

I don't believe Intel on-board video is going to work for DVDMax.

With an onboard vid-card, well it should work in extended desktop mode, but onboard cards are rather crappy.

I have this same problem too. With res 1.5 Overlay/theatermode works fine, but with 2 or 2.1 I can't get it work. I've tried all the things above too, but nothing seems to help... I even tried it with two systems, both resulted the same.

My systems:

2,6 P4
1 Gb mem
ati 9600 pro

2,o P4
1 Gb mem
ati 9000 pro
