Arena 5.0.4 Prefs panel resets all layer A / AV / V levels.
Pretty much as subject. Using Arena 5.0.4 with audio controls viewable. 5 layers.
When opening preferences it resets the levels to defaults.

I think this may have to do with your connected midi controller.
When opening the prefs panel, Resolume polls the USB ports for connected midi controllers. Controllers like the APC40 will respond to such a poll by sending out their fader states. So when you have anything mapped to these faders, the values will update accordingly.
I think it's a pretty nifty feature, because it makes sure your UI state matches your controller state. I wish more controllers would do this.

It's not a feature I've noticed in any of the older releases of Arena I'll be honest
