Hello dear resolume comunity! Here is my problem:
1) DJ playing DVJ mix in serato
2) Video signal go to Resolume server with hdmi capture card
3) In Resolume i have 2 layers - one from serato and one with my loops
DJ will use something like one shot (piano roll) loops all time he playing his mix, and in that moment i need to show video comming from capture card. As i know when there is no video (but signal is working) resolume show black screen for video input (not alpha) and if layer above will be video input and layer below will be my loops, on output will be always black screen from video input.
So, i looking for some ideas how i can make that show. (DJ don't want to use any OSC or MIDI to lan software)
Video capture with black background
Re: Video capture with black background
would you like replace your playing video, even with the black input areas?
if not
- if a simple overlay would do it, then try the screen blend mode for the input layer with opacity at 50%
- there is the automask effect which you can tune to cut the black areas of the input, then set for example alpha layer blend mode to 100%
