Hi there,
I guess the thread-title gives away already the idea. I want to have several midi-keyboards of the same model connected to a computer running Resolume. The keyboards are linked to the same midi mappings, mainly different keys to clips. So that way you can play video's as if you where in a band. I did a short test with two emu x-boards. Unfortunately it feels like Resolume gets confused about how many keyboards are connected, and receives only parameters from one. It shows only one x-board in the list of midi-devices.
I tried it another time using only one keyboard and an internal virtual keyboard both sending to Resolume. That seemed to work without any conflicts. Is there any hint on how to let Resolume recognize several midi devices of the same model?

Re: Having several midikeyboards of the same model control Resolume
Resolume recognizes midi controllers via their name, so if you manage to change the device name, you will be able to access them both.
Keep in mind that if you want to use midi feedback, the feedback gets sent to all devices. So you might want to change the channels on the second midi controller.

Re: Having several midikeyboards of the same model control Resolume
Hi Joris, thanks for the swift reply. I spend some hours trying to do this in windows 8 and as far as I can find out this is not possible. You can rename the devices within the devicemanager using regedit, but they'll appear only there with the custom name. Not in Resolume, only one appears.
Kind of a shame as other programs can do so, e.g. vvvv just add's a '#2' behind the name of the second device and so on. Maybe something to consider for the future?

Thanks. On OSX, this is relatively straightforward. I had no idea it was that complex on PC.
I'll see what we can do for you.
