Turn off audio scrubbing

Post by Oaktown »

Currently, if I need to move the playhead of an A/V clip in the middle of a show, I end up with an embarrassing scrubbing sound so it'd be great to have an option to turn off the audio scrubbing mode so that audio will only play the clip is playing in forward mode.

+1
this would be useful for rehearsals too, where I need to seek to parts of a video with audio.
(mute or dim by 20dB, the audio of the clip while the playhead is grabbed)

I think "mute" would be the only viable option but I also understand some people use the scrubbing to their advantage so ideally it'd be an option that can be turned on/off either globally or per clip. If it is per clip, it'd be great to be able to set the default mode.

maybe a volume slider or a list of options would fit everyone in preferences, where you could set the dim volume you'd like, from mute to 0dB.
