Crash on start - ASIO Realtek last line in log

Post by Doc_Jim »

Dell M4800

Suddenly on launch she quits.
Log shows she launches all the audio devices...then the last line showing is opening the Realtek ASIO.

If I plug a line into the mic jack (for FFT like normal) she doesnt crash.
If I disable all audio devices in WIndows 10 then it doesnt crash.

Thoughts?

I've also yet to be able to get it to launch with a USB webcam attached to the laptop. Just crashes, although I think this is another ball of wax tied into WIn10.

Windows may of upgraded the driver for whatever reason. I'd try upgrading it downgrading the sound driver.

Looking at the model, I think the sound card in that doesnt even have ASIO support - apparently it is meant to use the realtek HD Audio driver. It is available on Dell's website.

Wow.
Thanks mate.

I will look into this.

I doubted it is of course Resolume.
Thanks!
