Performance Quality/FPS On Newest Macbook?

I currently have a maxed out 2014 Retina Macbook; 2.5Ghz i7, 16GB DDR3, Nvidia GT 750M 2048MB, & 512GB SSD.
I'm getting good fps with low intensive videos/effects, but it drops to kinda choppy/under 30fps with more intensive effects+layers.

Was just wondering how performance is on the new macbook? Thinking about buying one instead of a standalone graphics pc. Would be nice to perform w/ ableton+control visuals from the macbook by itself.

I haven't seen any benchmarks yet, But I've seen some Dev's comment that the GPU leaves much to be desired and that the cooling is yet AGAIN a big problem.

For the same chunk of change, I am VERY interested in checking out the: MSI GT73VR that comes with a GTX 1080 GPU!!!

I have quite the collection of macbook Pros and a couple of the same model you have.
The new MacBook Pro does not improve the fps dramatically. I get similar fps as you from that model with 1x 1080 screen attached and I only see an increase in 10fps with the new MacBook Pro.
I would also like to see how the MSI GT73VR performs along with the new Razor Blade Pro: http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-blade-pro

The 1080 card is a beast.
