Bpm changing with desk change...

Post by xeNz »

Hi,
i'm working on a live show for a music band.
In my composition, i'm using one desk per track.
Each track is using a different tempo (bpm).
Is there a way to tell resolume to change BPM when changing of desk ?
For example i'm playing visuals in my desk 2 for a track at 85bpm... then i'm switching to my desk 3 for the next track playing at 115bpm... could i tell resolume to change my bpm when changing to desk 3 ?
I'm using my apc40 to control resolume via midi... maybe there's a way to assign a button to desk 3 and sending info to change bpm to 115 ???

Actually i have to change manually the tempo for each track... i'd like to automate this...

Thanks for support.

The BPM is set on the application level, not on a per deck level.

I understand your use case, and I understand how it would be useful for you. In more "regular" VJ performances, the VJ uses the BPM to match the rhythm of the visuals to the rhythm of the music played by a DJ. It would be very strange when switching to a new deck, the BPM would constantly change to its last saved value.

Is your show planned, same every time for a given song?
I use this program to do shows like that: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11392&src=14188
It does column triggering, and you can set BPM changes on triggering the columns.

Control Your show with ”Enter” - multiple Resolume servers at once - SMPTE/MTC column launch
