Clock Resync Button: Half Step

I've been using the Session and Record buttons on my APC40 mk2 for "Tap" and "Resync" respectively.

I am using a Bome script so I've confirmed that the APC is only sending Note Ons when I press the button, and not sending any data on release of button.

What I'm noticing is when I tap in a tempo using the Tap button, imediately after pressing "Resync" for the downbeat, Resolume's 4 square beat ticker seems to jump to Beat 2 early, about an 1/8th note early.

I found myself having to delay the press of Resync to the up beat of 1 in order to get the downbeat of 2 to sync in the tempo that I've tapped in.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Is this behaviour limited to the Session and Record buttons? Does it also occur when you use keyboard shortcuts instead of midi? What happens when you map the buttons directly, without Bomes in between?
