Hey all -
What is the best possible setup to get the most solid playback performance out of Resolume?
I'm aware of using a single GPU and then multiple outputs off the same card, but what other variables should I be looking at to make Resolume as happy as possible?
We are in scenarios where solid-clean playback, with high number of outputs, is key. The main problem is that performance seems to be unpredictable as to what will play well and what won't.
This last week content was a single 3840x2160 across 3 outputs, all off the same GPU. Footage was all DXV3, normal, no alpha, no audio. I've dialed GPU settings, scaled back system processes, etc etc to try to make the machine leaner. Also, no camera inputs (as that seems to add to a performance hit as well) and multiple M.2 SSD's host all content, as well.
Should I be using EDID managers and lock-in frame rates ot control display at 60.00 FPS? Is SDI outputs more predictable as a whole?
Thanks all!
