Hello,
I have a brand new PC (Windows 10 FCU, i7 8700k, 32 GB RAM, nVidia GTX 1080) on Arena 5.1.4
I would like to have suggestions about windows 10 optimization (other than not using FCU because it's not possible),
services to shut off? nvidia settings?
I'm about to set up a big project with 1 4k (with a Datapath x4) and 2 FHD outputs on a 8300x1500 composition and I need smooth playback (with timecode too)
Switching to Arena 6 would big a consistent help?
Any help is very appreciated !!
Thank you
Stefano

I disabled windows update via the registry For my show partition. Some pros and cons for that.

Re: Windows 10 optimization ?
Nothing too special on my end so far...
- Disable any power/sleep button function
- Disable screen/sleep timer
- Disable any windows sounds (sometimes use the machine to play presentations with audio)
- Disable windows 10 game mode
Just recently bumped up the minimum processor state to see how that works out
Ill have to add disable windows updates to my list.

Re: Windows 10 optimization ?
Personally for Windows10:
Fresh install of Windows, install only drivers and the minimum manufacturer softwares which has got features i need, those which i don't, i left alone.
I removed all windows apps via Powershell (windows store, xbox, skype, onedrive, etc... kept calculator and photos though).
In Task Manager under the Startup tab, disable the apps which you have no use for to make sure they don't hog up system resources.
And pretty much that's it.
