Resolume 6 upgrade

Hi, and thanks for the upgrade deal on black friday! The upgrade is sweet and navigates way faster, but it seems that R6 for me at least, is running my visuals slower than R5 on my macbook. I know mac is not the greatest for vis, but thats what I have. I can run 3 layers of HDvid 1080p on R5, but cannot get past 2 layers on R6 without freeze and glitch. This happened after I loaded 3 new visuals from my external ssd drive into a new comp and added some effects for test sakes. I previously tried to copy my files from R5 to R6, they showed up but were glitchy at 2-3 layers at 720p. I can run 5 layers of 720p 0n R5. I purchased R6 in the hopes to get a solid 3 layers and maybe 4 1080p out of my 2015 macbook pro. I am not a good tech, thats why I like resolume as it is user friendly. Any suggestions to speed up my visuals? (they are dxv files)

Something is going wrong there. I think for every one else is running faster than 5, so let us know a little bit more of your setup. Are those clips on an external drive? runs fine from same source on 5? What specs your comp have on 6?
I can't think what's happen.
