Hi -
I am running Resolume 6 on an Alienware 13 R2 and for some reason I have a group of mp4 files I need to play for a show tonight. However, when i drag/drop/find in explorer, the mp4 files will not play. Do I need to convert to .mov??
Thanks,
Colton Stark
MP4 files won't play on Resolume 6
Re: MP4 files won't play on Resolume 6
The right answer is that you should convert them.
But in a pinch, I think you can rename the extension to .mov and they will play. But MP4 is compressed and will not perform as well. I haven't tried this but it should be easy to test.

Weeeeelllll.....
The "right" answer is that you first need to check if those mp4s play in Windows' own Movies & TV app. If they do play there and not in Resolume, please send over one or two of those bad boys to mail@resolume.com. Then we can check why they aren't playing, and you'll be helping future users.
Your immediate fix is converting them.
