Hi, I'm in the process of configuring an M-Audio (Enigma) UC33e with Resolume, and was wondering if anyone had used the same, and had any suggestions.
Basically, it has 24 knobs and 9 faders.
I am leaning towards this config:
Faders 1-3 control effect opacity for each effect slot
Faders 4-6 control layer opacity for each layer
Faders 7-9 control the low, mid, treble gains
The first 3 columns of knobs are set to control the 1st 3 parameters for each effect slot.
The top 3 knobs (on top of the layer opacity faders) control layer speed. I am thinking of having the next two knobs down control the in and out point for clips.
That leaves me with 6 knobs free, and the 14 buttons. Any suggestions?
Tips & tricks for UC33e MIDI layout?

Ok, this is my provisional layout, subject to changes as my knowledge of the real thing improves.
Faders 1 2 3 - opacity for each layer
Faders 4 5 6 - efx opacity for each global efx slot
Faders 7 8 - gain and fallback for audio analysis (global)
Knobs (column 1) - layers speed
Knobs (column 2) - timeline scratch
Knobs (column 3) - gain for audio analysis (H M L)
Knobs (column 4) - fallback for audio analysis (H M L)
Knobs (column 5) - efx param 1 (slot 1, slot2, slot 3)
Knobs (column 6) - efx param 2 (slot 1, slot2, slot 3)
Knobs (column 7) - efx param 3 (slot 1, slot2, slot 3)
Knobs (column 8) - efx param 4 (slot 1, slot2, slot 3)
I'm thinking about assigning the small buttons to midi notes to control parameters which is not possible to control via keybord ... e.g. toggle RGB channels and stuff like that.
All the selections of active layers, efx slots and efx are made via keyboard.
I guess i'll change something as my style developes but at the moment i'm quite happy whith this layout although i miss things like the in and out points settings, anyway ... life is not perfect.
