External audio input not working

I'm having some problems with external audio input. When I select any input channel from "External Audio FFT Input" -dropdown menu, audio input selection resets to "Select input device" and I cant get any sound in.

At the moment I am using Virtual Audio Cable to bring the sound in but the same happens with all the recording devices.

Any ideas what could be the problem?

Looks like using your inputs is a windows privacy setting now since the latest windows update.
Go to windows Settings > Privacy > Microphone and make sure “Allow apps to access your microphone” is active.

I'm having the same problem with a 2018 macbook pro. And I think it's also bc of privacy settings but I just don't know how to tell resolume AND the macbook that it's totally fine using the built in mic. not even creating an aggregate device brings any help (

I'm having the same problem with a 2018 macbook pro.

Looks like microphone became a privacy thing in OSX Mojave.
Try getting the latest installer from our download page and re-install Resolume.
On the next Resolume start, you should get the notification prompt to allow the use of the microphone by Resolume.

I'm having same problem,

I have Mac Book Pro, High Sierra 2016 and I'm up to date with new Resolume Arena 6

I'm trying to input audio using Loopback so I'm 100% positive that the audio is registering in the two chanels, however, in Resolume the sound doesn't enter.
Not even Built-in microphone. No in signal whatsoever.

Hi, I have the same issue and I can't even scroll down the SMPTE input... It's all in grey, like unselectable.
Is it restricted by the demo version ? I was hoping to test a few thing before a huge gig in my town..
