Resolume controlling fixtures thru MA?

Hi everyone i really hope you can offer me some solutions to what i’m facing right now!

So i’ve managed to hook up resolume to the MA2 console, i can control it just fine (mapped out a simple personality to control just the main parameters e.g play pause layers clips nothing too intense since we do have Video techs).

Now the problem lies in trying to output composition to fixtures. For now it’s just a test, since we are quite limited in terms of hardware (no dmx dongles, no media server. Just basically a laptop with content straight hooked up to the console, outputting to displays for now)

I’ve built up the fixture in resolume, just a simple cycbar with 15 modules and dummy parameters to fill up the dmx chart.

I’ve also created the lumiverse according to my patch, enabled artnet where the target fixtures are patched in my console. Eventhough the console can control resolume, its not reading my console ip under advance output settings.

Have i missed something out? Or am i doing it wrong? Any suggestions would help immensely!

You would need a separate universe to control the fixtures from Resolume.

Desk controls Resolume
Resolume sends data to fixtures (not via desk)

If you need both desk and Resolume data involved you’d need a DMX merge of some kind to combine the data.

Exactly! I typically put my feed going back into the desk on a separate subnet than the feed coming out of the desk, then do a merge in MA.
