Would it be possible for resolume to support director shockwave files?
The support for flash variables was a great update and with director the possibilities would be even greater, since this soft can handle with 3d, millions of objects, etc. My intention is to manipulate 3d forms e particles through midi.

last time we tried (a couple of years ago) it was not possible to grab the pixels from the shockwave player like you can with a flash movie. so it,s not that we do want to do it, it just seemd impossible.

you can use openGL rendering in director right? well getting anything back from the GPU in system memmory is going to be slow on a AGP bus, pci-e should improve that because it has more downstream bandwith.
