Pops and Clicks in audio loops

Post by mwi1097@wgu.edu »

Hi everybody,

I'm having a weird issues with Avenue 6. I've created some .wav loops using Pro Tools 12 and exported them. I load them into Resolume. Pops and clicks each time a loop cycles and during transitions between clips on the same layer.

I've tested them in various media players, Groove, Windows media, VLC... No pops or clicks.

I've gone back to the clips, edited them, set end points at Zero Crossings in Audacity. Export and test again.

No pops or clicks. Load them to Avenue 6. Pops and clicks every loop/transition.

I'm kinda loosing my mind trying to figure this out as Resolume is key to the current project I'm working on and was purchased to be my A/V sample player for live shows.

Any Advice? Help? I'll be looking for an answer.

Here are my laptop specs:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Version 10.0.17763 Build 17763
System Model Precision 7510
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6820HQ CPU @ 2.70GHz, 2700 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Name NVIDIA Quadro M2000M

Thanks,
Michael Wilson

Have you tried to adjust the audio buffer size in Resolume preferences?
Is the Audio sample rate set in preferences the same as your your file's sample rate?
Software developer, Sound Engineer,
Control Your show with ”Enter” - multiple Resolume servers at once - SMPTE/MTC column launch

I'll check the sample rate and buffer size next time i get a chance. I'm pretty sure the sample rate is set to 44.1 though. Thanks for the tips. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks,
Mike
