You would need to setup your output source in your DAW to be the input source for External FFT in Resolume. The you can use External FFT to animate your parameters.

2/active link etc." or some captures if you can.

Example 1:
Laptop 1 has Focusrite 2i2 Interface. DAW sends output to 2i2 output L&R. The 2i2 has a Y cable installed on the output. One side of the Y cable goes to house audio, The other side of the Y cable goes to Laptop 2's audio device IN port.

Laptop 1 has Focusrite 2i2 Interface. Resolume selects the 2i2 input 1 as external FFT control. This laptop's audio interface IN is connected the Laptop 1's audio interface OUT.

DAW plays music, Resolume receives music. You now can select parameter animation to use external FFT. and the amplitude of the audio will animate parameters. You can fine tune the EQ and Gain per parameter.

Example 2:
Only 1 laptop.
Install a virtual loopback adapter like soundflower or virtual Cable and then route an aux out of your DAW to this virtual adapter. In Resolume select the virtual adapters output you used in your DAW. Have your master out in your DAW go to your house audio as normal. All the steps above would then follow.

If you're note sending audio out to anyone other than Resolume, the use the following example:

In your DAW select your speakers out and use that as your input in resolume for your External FFT.

I´m with windows with a only new station machine, but i don´t think problem. I think I M THE PROBLem ;)

I install LOOPMIDI. And create virtual Bus as you said. I see them in resolume and resolume. I try with midiclock, ableton link, and change/test how i can. The same thing, only something happen but only wiht bpm sync

I attache some capture I did:

So External FFT is audio, You are connecting your DAW via MIDI. MIDI is not audio (per-say) MIDI is digital values that controls instruments and other things.

Try looking into Soundflower. You have the right mindset, you're just using the wrong protocol :)

Do exactly what you just did, but do it using Soundflower and Audio this time rather than MIDI.

Arvol,

Thanks a lot. I have it at final ;)

Very happy now I ´m setup ableton+bitwig+arena together for some test with jackaudio and resolume react with external fft .
