A quick thank you to everybody who enjoyed themselves at the last event. The next extension should run smoother than a baby's bum and i hope the next party will continue to capture the relaxed party atmosphere that makes the night what it really is there. Headlining is Danny Ward aka Dubble D from 20:20 vision records, the best house record label in the Uk at the moment.
Dubble D
Dubble D AKA Danny Ward has been associated with 2020 Vision for many years now and is no newcomer to the music scene. Far from it, in actual fact he is one of the most highly respected and well-established drummer/ percussionists in the North of England, working with artists such as Rae & Christian, AIM, Fila Brasilia, Only Child, The Pharcyde, Veba, Chapter & The Verse and Kriminul. He also wrote a track for Mark Rae's second album and one of his own productions was included on the last Mushroom Jazz CD released by Om.
As a working drummer he is regularly busy touring with a number of different bands, including, most recently, major label indie band The Rain, and he is also the tour drummer for Rae & Christian and AIM. Throughout the 90âs Danny was resident percussionist at legendary Northern clubs such as The Hacienda and Back to Basics. Currently he has a residency at The Green Room in Manchester where he plays with respected jazz musicians such as Jon Thorne (Lamb) and Steve Brown (Cinematic Orchestra). Danny is the only drummer internationally acclaimed jazz musicians, including Israeli saxophonist Gilad Atzmon and Tony Kofi, will work with when they tour in the UK.
On top of all that since the beginning of 2003 Danny has been developing new live act - 2020Soundsystem - with Ralph Lawson and Silver City. His latest offering is his Debut album "Reachin out" which received excelllent feedback from all the UK music press and is available now on 20:20 vision.

NOTE for anybody who anticipated a percussionist last week we are sorry to have not had one in supply. As a treat we have employed Dubble D's services for a healthy dose of why Hacienda and Basics made him there resident percussionist. He will also performing as a percussionist in between his slot times also.
