Hey guys,
we are having a really fucked up issue which we can't get rid of.
Macbook Pro 15 inch, 2018 / 2,9 GHz i9 - Resolume Arena 6.13
Lindy USB-C to HDMI Adapter - 1080p50 onto a LED Wall
We are using Some layers of DXV3 coded Footage and were running a lot of tests before which all went well. Now today we had a really warm day with 37 degrees and we have been inside of a stadium which boiled up the temperature. The rehearsals this morning went without any issues or problems. On side the computer started to stutter the video (every 1 second for a frame) and we tried everything to get rid of that.
No sucess. We then switched to an iMac Pro which went well and will be our Main system now.
BUT .. Now the temperatures are down again so no heated up air or systems and the Issue still exists as long as I have the USB-C Adapter plugged. That moment I unplug it the stuttering is gone. We tried a bunch of different adapters from different companies (Cheap up to very expensive) still the issue consists.
Is there anybody out there having the same issue and can help out ? I was thinking about buying a new adapter tomorrow, but it seems that it's not a specific on.
Best
Dani

Yes, Mojave it is.
Re: Stuttering Video on Resolume Arena 6
The most reliable solution to this would be downgrading OSX to High Sierra,

Apparently using a HDCP stripper could also help.

Oh wow .. Thank you ! This is exactly my issue.
Holy crap. It never happened before.
But that's a good direction to work on further. Thank you so much Zoltán!

How did you have the displays connected before?

Re: Stuttering Video on Resolume Arena 6
We connected the displays the same way. With the same adapters and it never happened before.
The iMac also got the stuttering, but on the Output it's almost liquid. Once in a while you can find a drop frame, but that's good to go.
We talked about the problem with our technician guys and they heard about that problem before.
They are all using HDMI Splitter in between of their Hardware and the LED Walls because of many problems with HDCP. So it seems to be a general issue not only with Macintosh.
But we also ha an old Macbook Pro 15" running with High Sierra as a backup with us and it runs fluid.
No stuttering, No problems.

from my post in the rumours thread...
"so news back from apple----the engineers know about it, its apparently fixed in Catalina, there might be a fix for mohave but they are all working hard on getting Catalina done so it probably will be post Cat
stripper in the mean time"

Hi all!
I'm having the same issue, sometimes stuttering output durning my shows, which is horrible.
I can't downgrade my MBP because its bought with Catalina
Can someone please provide me a webshop link to a stripper? I'm not sure which one to buy.
Thanks!!

Re: Stuttering Video on Resolume Arena 6
In Catalina and now in Big Sur I did not had those Issues again.
So maybe you try updating to Big Sur and see if it's still happening ?!
