One thing for sure, the mapping should be more like Ableton Live or Modul8 - click a button to switch to mapping mode, click the thing you want to assign and bang! Setup. Its like that for assign a midi key to turn on an effect but not for the whole interface. This would allow for fast repatching of keys when your playing live.
Anyway enough of the broad aspects, heres the features that as a very long term user I would like to see -
Wheres the cycling of the transfer layers? I don't want one button to turn on Screen, one to difference, one to multiply - I just need one that cycles through them.
The key/midi mapping allow direct linking to effects on and off and layers and stuff but fail to take into account some other more useful things require multiple clicks. Being able to have a button that clears all current effects in the 3 main effect banks would be useful. As it is to turn them all off I have to click close 3 times (not hard but 1 button setup on MIDI would be better). I would like to assign a MIDI key to just 'switch off all effects' but keep playing the clips.
It would be good to implement a main output fade button - similar to the V4s fade. Then if theres a breakdown and you need to quickly kill the output or fade the output to black (or white) this would be good. In fact just a complete rip off of the V4's fade would be perfect.
Both of the things aren't complete rewrites, just improvements to the flow of Resolume. 2.3 is a nice beast though - looking forward to 2.4/2.5.

Oh and my interface still seems all pink......
