Hi,
i've used Resolume for my Live performance since 1.5 and i'm a HUGE fan. Here's the features i would really like implemented and the things i'd really like enhanced.
- First a simple thing to do i guess (for 2.4 thanx ^__^'). Memorised thumbnails of the preview so that when you change folders or when you reboot, Resolume doesn't need to scan all files over again to generate thumbnails. It slowdowns the soft and causes some instability. You can add a refresh button if needed but it's really a pain to preview hundrededs of Flash or video files everytime i change folders or reboot.
- Speed improvement so i can process in 800x600 with at least 2 video layers. I don't know which feature would be give the best improvements: 64 bit ? Dual core ? or GPU acceleration (my personnal favorite as my AMILO has a Geforce 6800 go)
- More plugin support (Photoshop, AE, Winamp)
- More audio Analysis support with beat to loop ( i think Arkaos has that but i'm not sure i didn't boot that old soft since resolume ^__^')
- Custom Flash variable so that you can define exactly what influcence the variables. And more in depth Action Script 2 interactivity.
- More stability... resolume 2.3 crashes quite often when i use a webcam, my external Firewire HD, flash, MJPEG B and Indeo 5.2 files alltogether.
- A unique video codec specialy enhanced for Resolume. Actually i don't know if it would be of any improvement over Indeo or MJPEG B but i would find it a nice solution for stability and optimised CPU usage /Disk access.
- More Midi but it's not a priority for me.
And so you know what i'm using:
AMILO 3438G, Intel Centrino 1.86 with 1 gig of DDR2, 2x60 gigz HD in Raid 0 (yes i know RAID in a laptop AWESOME ^___^') a GEforce 6800 go with 256 MB ram and a Firewire 7200 rpm 250 gigz HD. I add a Digital DV or a IR Webcam.
