Projection mapping with lid closed

Hi,
Is there a way for a mid-2013 Macbook Air running Big Sur to still be connected to a projector as a second display, for projection mapping, while the lid as closed?
Amphetamine app is keeping the machine awake, but the display gets lost and I get a duplicate of Resolume UI...
Would love assistance, it's for a show opening tomorrow!

Try setting the Screen in the in the Advanced output to the first display, after closing the lid ;)
