After some searching I found these details about the Timeswitcher transition
"the range is from 1 to 800 milliseconds.
So 99 = 800 and 1 = 1 millisecond (if that is at all possible of course)
0 nothing happens
100 - permanently visible as you said."
Is this still the case? .8 seconds max?
If so is it possible to make a transition with a longer switch time in Wire?
Timeswitcher
Re: Timeswitcher
Yes, with a bit of time in wire you can.
I'm not sure how much delay you get in Wire (I believe it's one frame?) so that's going to be a lot of nodes.
I believe sometime in the future, the amount of delay will be editable.

Re: Timeswitcher
Currently transitions are limited to 10 seconds. The thing is, that with clip transitions, the mixer is only applied during the transition, so even if you use a patch, that will be ejected after 10 secs max.
If you'd use the patch as layer mixer, you could check the layer opacity value for being 0, or 100%.
That's your topmost FloatIn in the patch. You can use it however you want. Even ignore it.
At anything else than 0% layer opacity the mixer will be applied to the layers, and you can do whatever you want with the layers below texture, and the layer's texture.
