Hey,
Is there any way to create your output transformation mapping from a set of imported points ? This way, I would be able to get an automatic mapping of complex shapes using camera/projector calibration and edge detection. If this is not possible, please let me know of any workaround you could think of.

Not possible. But, I am working on something similar to this right now. Might be a month or two before anything comes of it. It won't use cameras, but input maps from shows as the source for the "auto mapper" to work.
