I did the "install new version and re-launch" and now all I get are black screens each time a start Resolume
Version is 7.5.0 on a MacBook Pro running Big Sur 11.6
I can get icons at the bottom of the screen and if I control click Arena I can select "show all windows". I then see Resolume and it has loaded composition Example (1280 x 720). That window has a blue boarder. If I click anything , anywhere, all screens go black again. I have tried it with my second screen disconnected and effect is the same.
Any thoughts on how I can get Resolume to work again?

Sounds like you have an output enabled to your UI monitor.
Try Command+shift+D to disable all outputs, or check the Screen output settings in the Advanced output.

You are spot on!
I had previously hooked up a third screen via the mini-display-port (the projector) but that was no longer connected. It seems Resolume was still displaying everything there even though it didn't exist.
Once I plugged it in again I could disable that output.
The problem had nothing to do with installing the new version.
