I'd like some clips to show for like 10 seconds and then fade out. Can this be done?

Yes: https://resolume.com/support/en/envelopes on the clip opacity, animated to timeline

Okay, this took a bit of messing around but works exactly as advertised - and I can fade according to beats too! Clearly envelopes solve everything. Thank you!
