Sync generator speed with global BPM or speed master

Post by thomas6886 »

It seems like something that should be easy but I can't seem to find it. I'm trying to make my generator clips respond to the composition BPM setting. When I set the transport mode of the clip to BPM sync it doesn't do anything, and when I change the speed of the effect itself to 'BPM sync' it's makes the generator's speed an envelope.

How do you guys tackle this? If there is another way to make seperate generator effects respond one speed control that would also work for me.

Clip transport is for the clip timing with Auto pilot mainly with generators. Passing changes to generators can be done via the parameters.

Are you maybe building your own effect binaries?

Thanks for your reply, I use several of Resolume's generators as content for LED strips. What I would like to have is some way to change the speed parameter of all effects at once so that I can assign a knob on my midi controller to change the speed of all the effects.

If you have the effect parameters assigned to BPM sync, then their speed will follow the composition tempo.
