Alley: Does not recognise HEVC file with .m4v suffix (add .mov)

Post by webel »

Alley: 7.10.0

Mac

Alley will not load HEVC exports (from Compressor) with .m4v suffix.

Adding (or changing suffix to) .mov works.

If you mean the mini preview in the optional preview side pane of the Finder, yes.

And QuickTime 10.5 plays it fine.

Alley just seems to ignore it if only has .m4v suffix, it won't appear in the View pane.
