Dante virtual soundcard

Post by mouga007 »

Im having problems with Dante virtual soundcard on resolume 7 .
I have 2 computers One with Cubase sending timecode via Dante to another PC receiving that timecode by Dante .
I select the Dante virtual soundcard áudio driver on resolume and the smpte port and everything works well for a random time ( could bem 2 hours or 10 minutes ...) And then it loses the timecode ... I go to preferences áudio and the áudio driver appears in grey and the smpte says no input ... I select no driver and then select again Dante virtual soundcard and everything works again weel for a random time and do the same...
It seems like resolume Lost driver connection for any reason i can not find !
Im using win10 on a PC with Cubase and win11 on PC with resolume
Any ideas to Help ?

Where does your Dante master clock come from?
Software developer, Sound Engineer,
Control Your show with ”Enter” - multiple Resolume servers at once - SMPTE/MTC column launch

We use Dante for SMPTE input using Virtual Soundcard which works flawlessly, when the source is from Ableton playing back an audio file with SMPTE timecode. However, it does require a master clock which might be the cause of your problems. Additionally if you're using an audio file you might want to ensure its a lossless format such as WAV. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the MP3 compression formats might cause some unexpected timecode behavior from lossy compression methods.
