Party on a boat... any ideas?

I am about to do some video show elements on theme party "Pirates". The party takes place on a "ship" built in the room.
I would like to simulate the boat-expierence by slightly rotating the pictures on the screen left and right, like when you are on a ship moved by the waves. I am using the built in rotate effect, but I have troubles setting it correct. It is too quick or when lowering the pace, it is too stuttering.
Do you have any suggestions?

Not really...
I posted about this issue some time ago - Resolume is not able to do a simple, smooth and slow rotation (Unless you prerender it

).
