Clip saving / sharing

Post by kai »

Currently:
Only option is render to file or sharing an entire Resolume project file to another user

Feature Request:
  • Clip feature to collect all and save. This would ideally create a clip file that could be shared to other resolume users / projects. The clip file would contain all effects that are loaded on onto that clip as well as all of the parameters.
  • An import clip file option would then be added to Resolume in order to import clips from other projects / users
  • Additional options when "collect all and save clip" option is selected could be to include non-stock effects, whether to preserve parameters of effects, and perhaps additional notes that could be included as an effect panel at the top of the effect list.
Additional Notes:
This is a separate option to the render to file option(and also most like only Kilobytes in size)
Having an effect (notepad) to add to elements (clips, layers, etc) that is simply a text area where you can leave notes would be extremely beneficial.

For now you can copy a clip and manually paste it in a text file. Then the other user copies from that text file and pastes it into his deck. Or you can send the text to the other user using a chat program or something. You can add notes <!--Like this--> at the start of the file. It's not entirely based in the arena ui, but this might help you get going while your request is gathering votes.

Thank you! This is very helpful! I did not know that was possible.
