[Bug] Clips with alpha on layers have shrunken in width

Post by jdz_mhb »

Hi y'all,

We're currently working on mapping a relatively large led wall for a TV show with Arena (7.17). Our working resolution is 5826x1984 within Arena and we're outputting 2x 3840x2160 to our Led processors.

Our content consists of several layers (videos (tried both Prores 4444 and DXV from Alley) and png), all equally aligned within 5826x1984, which we can stack on top of each other in Arena, creating a composition.

When I put the layers on top of eachother in After Effects, everything is perfectly aligned, but when I try to do the same in Arena, somehow the width of some upper layers changes. The alignment at the left of the composition is correct, 0 pixels. On the righthand side, the upper layers have shrunken by approx. 12 pixels in width.

Example:

Arena_example_shift_v1.png (84.39 KiB) Viewed 1363 times
Canvas:

The canvas for the content alignment is attached. I hope someone is able to help, by posting either a solution or a proper workaround (content changes every week, so workflow is important).

Kind regards,

Jon
