fading between columns?

Hi,
I remember that in resolumn when i moved between columns, the default was a dissolve transition

now, it is a cut

i cannot seems to find how to do a dissolve as a default between all columns

i went to the composition panel, and in the crossfader dropdown i chose "Fade (Legacy)" [why would u not give a fade option that isnt Legacy??]

but it does not have any effect

Try adding some transition time to the layers: https://resolume.com/support/en/layers#layer-transition
I don't recall transition times were defaulted to non zero.

found it. the transition button wasnt there, had to tick the view>show layer transition control to see it.
