Hey y'all.
Pretty new to Resolume and I'm trying to map my new MIDI Fighter Twister.
The issue is that this controller has specific actions it does on specific channels.
For example a note message comes from the controller on channel 2. But an LED blink message goes into it on channel 3.
I need Resolume to send out from a different channel that it receives input on. From what I can tell theres not an easy way to decouple the input note/channel from the output note/channel unless I'm missing something.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Specific MIDI output channels?
sorry but i think you're right, there is't at the moment.... You will need a extra piece of software to convert one midi message to another

Re: Specific MIDI output channels?
but what you could try is duplicating the midi shortcut and putting that duplicate on the different midi channel in theory that could work.
Re: Specific MIDI output channels?
Will give this a shot! Thanks
Re: Specific MIDI output channels?
For all sorts of mangling MIDI, I use Bome MIDI translator pro. Reading MIDI data from Resolume and changing its channel on the fly should be easy.
As in:
MFT sends CC12 on channel 1 -> resolume. Nothing is changed.
Resolume sends CC34 on channel 1 -> Bome -> channel is now 5 or whatever.
The software can do much more complex things, in my case I convert a midi note on + midi note off messages of a button being pressed and relased into two midi note on messages, as my stupid DMX software lacks the ability to momentarily trigger groups of scenes.

Chataigne is another software that can translate and do logic on i_o
Better UI than Bomes too

I will look into that, might be another good tool to add!
In addition to the nice GUI you also get two malware positives for free, but that happens to many opensource projects. Most likely it´s harmless. I will reach out to Ben and see what can be done about it.

I've been using it for years without getting any defender warnings, might be your system??
Re: Specific MIDI output channels?
Defender warnings are one thing, and the missing certificate is not a big issue imho, as you can install nonetheless if you trust the author. But it´s not a local thing just on my system:

Yes, just 2 out of almost 70 engines they run binaries against and most likely a false positive, so I´d still go forward and install it. It´s just something that happens from time to time with an over sensitive malware engine or maybe even a very very basic detection that goes like "no cert, must be bad". Which of course is stupid.
