Multiple layers as only one layer

Is there anyway to assign clips to the grid accordingly to the grid lay out we have on our midi controller and only have it as one layer?

For ex:

I want all these clips to be just one layer.

Could you give an example on what you'd like to accomplish?
There are no clips in your screenshot, and no idea what controller layout you'd like.

Sorry if I wasn't specific enough. I have an APC40 mkII. As you know, it has a gridded layout of the midi buttons 5 x 8. I would like to assign the clips where layers 3-5 are considered one entire layer. That way when I trigger a clip on layer 5 and then trigger a clip on layer 3, it will show on the output immediately without having to manually clear the clip that is currently active. Me trying to explain it is a lot more complicated than what I'm trying to accomplish.

Try to set clip target to Active layer, and select the layer you want the clips to play in.
