Dear all,
has anyone have this same issue?
If you run content from a external SSD USB drive (Sandisk extreme on USB C 3.2), sometimes the output freezes for about 1 second or less. It almost looks like the PC needs time to acces the drive and resolume just shortly freezes. I gues resolume shortly want to load this content to the ram or something like that.
After this first load and short freeze of a newly clip, it never happens wiht the same visual clip re-using it again in the composition.
Is this a known thing, or can i solve this short output freeze in any way?
I don't want all content on my internal drive for safety purposes (I own 2 external Sandisk pro as backup)
I already put HDD and USB energy savings to "Never", but the problem persists.

Externals will always be less than desired performance. I have it as a strong rule of thumb to ONLY use externals for a means of transfer and to never use on for liver performance (same with cloud shared folders).
To each their own, but I would say ditch the external for live use <3
