video capturing

We have a Canon PowerShot S40 and a Dell Latitude portable computer which are connected through a firewire to USB cable. The operative system on the computer is windows 2000. The softeware for video capturing which followed the camera is called RemoteCapture 2.1. DirectX is installed on the computer. Why is Resolume not able to receive any signal from the camera? Are there any other cameras, or camera software or drivers which would work with the equipment as mentioned above?
Or are there any suggestiones at all!!! For making things work???

Hi there

lots of people are having problems getting video capture to work in resolume. It is something the developers are working on i hear.

yes we R but we have not been lucky on this yet ;-(
