massive FPS drop with Spectrum

Post by mowgli »

I have a patch that's running smoothly at 60fps. The second I connect Spectrum with a single band of audio assigned, my fps drops to 10. This is all inside Wire so as far as I'm aware it's not even reading any audio at that point.
Once the fps drops, even removing Spectrum from the patch does not restore the fps!

I've tried the patch inside Resolume and the behaviour is the same. What could be the problem?

Do you want to share the patch (if you prefer in a PM), then we can take a look at what happens there?

What is your instance count you are processing? 1024 channels or much less (i hope)

So you're only using 1 freq out of the 1024 available and you're getting 10fps? (image on top is the 1024 and the one at the bottom is a single channel from the 1024)

I just saw the patch was shared. Thanks :)
