Hi

I had the same problems as you - with a Win XP home SP2, cr@ppy intel internal graphic card using 32megs of my 512megs of ram.

I found a solution.

Install Resolume demo versions 1.5, 2.0 and 2.3.

Then run demo version 1.5 - the browser works!
Then run version 2.0 - the browser still works!
Now run version 2.3 - the file browser works - woohoo!

I am guesing version 1.5 installs a file that version 2.3 assumes is already on your system....

Hope thi fix works for you...

Huh...now it doesn't work.

Version 1.5 works ok, as does version 2.0

But for version 2.3 the file browser doesn't work, it did about 2 hours ago.

very odd

Hmm, I'm see to be talking to myself here, oh well, it's a sign of creative genius, so i'm told...

On further investigation, I don't think it is the fault of resolume - i guess the devs already know this.

I installed resolume 2.3 in a fresh install version on windows XP on a different partition, but on the same laptop, as the one where resolume wasn't working on. In this fresh install environment, reolume 2.3 works perfectly. So there must be something screwed up in my install of win XP on my main partition, or something different with that inatall (of which there are many things, such as:
- NTFS file system, not FAT32
-running BBlean, not explorer
-running loadsa additional programs (TrendMicro security, slickrun, process tamer etc.)

So, all in all, it aint the fault of resolume, it is something wrong my end. I guess most people already know this, but, hey, it's good to talk.

just to add some more info on this. I managed to make it work on the system it wouldn't work on. It turned out that there was some windows service that i had disabled follwing back vipers instructions (google it if you don't know what i am talking about). So people who have messed around with their default service configuration like me will have problems running resolume. I reset all mine to the default setting and resolume runs fine.
