DMX Automap and CITP

Post by rywolfday1 »

I am working on a utility to build a DMX map programmatically cause removing the automap feature was dumb.
Tech support says they can do 500 values in less than 30 minutes.. BS!
I wish they would have where you can choose where to map layer, groups, and comp by blocks with all the options in the light fixture profile to what universe/channel like pro media servers do.

Yeah i get the excuse that we don't need all the features mapped but its sure alot quicker to map a whole layer and not use everything and have the option than having to map each channel manually.. Guess they never use a lighting desk to know its all about the fixture and the presets in that, that map to certain values on certain commands so you know what you are doing..

well cause support sucks soooo bad when i asked for some help and a new feature they told me to post here.. ROLFMOA
Usually a request only takes 10+ years..
my last request for A/B bus preview finally got added recently only 10+ years later

CITP was requested 10 years ago so maybe one of these days..

Me: You must be amazing fast to map both the resolute window and the lighting desk for 500 values in 30 minutes.. Thats one command ever 3 seconds, impossible
TS: Mapping the cues in the desk up to the LD, just like figuring out the lighting is up to them and the director.
We also don't count the time the director decides what they want to do. Or the time it takes to build the venue.
I wouldn't recommend editing the shortcut xmls direclty. We won't be able to help you with issues arising from those.

-This program has potential if they would listen to their users.. Version 1 user here.

Good luck going through life with that type of attitude.
