Jpg issues

Post by EBMCreative »

So I'm wondering how much resolume does not like jpg images.

I have been having many issues lately with the resolume freezing outputs and a blue spinning circle for 30 seconds - 2 minutes when clicking on the jpg to preview it.

Do I really have to convert to dxv3 before it's in resolume?

Thanks.

No issues here. How big is the jpg's resolution?
I ALWAYS convert EVERYTHING to DXV3, even if it's a still image. Everything works better. But you should be able to load a jpg or png just fine, however if the resolution is 8000 x 8000, well that makes no sense to use at all

900x900 resolution.

I understand about changing to dxv3. It's just another step in the process that takes time in the middle of a show. And it happens from 5-15 times a night. So I was trying to avoid encoding it to dxv3.

But I have found some non dxv3.mov files recently that are in the mix of about 1200 clips that are in the composition. One that I found was a jpeg movie file.

So I'm sure the combination of non dxv3 is causing an issue on whole.

I know for sure when someone has put an mp4 in the mix..... When I see them preview a clip the whole system hikups for a second and then resumes.

Yup, Been there. Now I set rules. If the content isn't in my hands 2 hours before doors, it's not going on the screen.

Yeah. I tried that. It didn't work. 🤣😂

The picture thing is for people who want to celebrate thier birthday.

The main content I thought and I was just being quick with it was finding all the mp4's and converting them and removing them relink to the dxv. But I am going to have to go through more to see if the.mov files are dxv. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

If you see the issue every time with a specific file, we'd love to check it out.
Please send it to mail@resolume.com, thanks!

I would love to do that for you. But I'm not the one running it 99% of the time.

So I find out issues the next day or even days later because nobody says anything to me unless I am at the club at night to manage a guest dj or trying to enjoy some drinks and music. 🤣😂

But I have, I think, gotten them to always push the send report button when we have a full crash. Which just happened a few days ago.

I think I will update to the latest version on Monday morning next week. I have been holding off because we have been extremely busy for the past few weeks with celebrations and many guest djs, and I haven't had the time that I know I will need to go through the entire deck with the slice transform change that has happened.
