The forum tells me I last signed in to the forum in 2008 !!!!!
So, I'm back doing gigs after 16 years away, I've upgraded my app from 2.3 to 7.2, busy re-encoding all the AVI files (wow, so many), and, have built a Xeon based workstation with an Nvidia Quadro 4000 (16gb), loads of RAM (64gb) and some 7.4k drives running in several mirrored setups.
Before I start learning ( / messing about with) 7.2, I'm going through the settings everywhere to get familiar with all this new stuff (things have changed a lot since Windows XP !) .
Which way should I go with the Nvidia control panel setting for MANAGE GPU / usage mode?
Optimise for graphics
or
optimise for graphics and compute?
I'll be running DXV and probably other stuff like MPG4 and JPGs
