Syncing clips and transition times

Post by simplysimon »

Hi people
I’m still a rookie so please no hi tech language in response!
I want to know if I’m playing a clip, but I need it to sync better with the live performance of the band, can I advance or delay it during the performance? If so, how?
Also before or after some songs, sometimes I need a rapid change from the clip to a holding slide or I need a slow transition to the same, or to the next clip.
Is it possible to set different times by clip?
I hope this makes sense?
Thanks
Simon :)

The composition speed slider for timeline playback can be used to speed up or slow down playback. It's the slider on top left with the S on it.

For BPM synced clips, the transport controls has nudge buttons.

Transition time can be set up in the layer transition controls, you can enable that in the View menu.
Setting different transtitions per clip is not possible currently, but you can set up midi or keyboard shortcuts to set the time quickly.
