More dynamic colorize

Post by rawdesigns »

I'm sure this already exists as a wire effect or juicebar product. I was wondering if there is anything out there that can use a color effect with adding colors to its nearest hue. For example If my main color is set to amber it would add small amount of reds and yellows perhaps based on luminance?
thanks!

If you'd want to make such a patch, Analogous Colors could be of help

Red, Amber, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Magenta, Pink, White

Well, it kinda depends on how wou want to apply the different colors
Try to do multiple colorize effects frem the texture input with the colors, then use compare nodes like Within from the original input. That would give you a result you could use as mask, for the colorize results, and then you could mix the results with a video mixer.

Like the Recolor effect in Arena?
We are also working on LUT-support at the moment, which might also solve this for you.

It is very interesting to know what things you are working on. Can you tell us about things other than LUT support. Thx in advance!
