I use a microphone via a sound card/audio interface to trigger parameters in Resolume. When the sound level of the signal entering Resolume is low, I am bothered by hum. Since the sound from the microphone does not go through any hum filter, the parameters are triggered by the hum that the microphone picks up from PCs and other electrical devices in the room. I can set the parameter to only trigger the mid-high and highest frequencies, but I do not find this filter to be very precise and miss sounds in the low tone range that I would like to trigger on.
Does anyone recognize this problem? If so, how do you deal with the problem?

Re: HUM
If you put a envelope on the parameter you want to control and keep the first part on 0. You essentially build a threshold where the sound has to go over before it triggers something.
As you can see in the gift, this little audio signal does not trigger anything now I hope this is what you're after good luck, and if you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask
