While vjing we use resolume and video tapes as well. So we have got a difference on the screens because the beaming surface of resolume is smaller than that from a videotape.
Is there a way to fix this? And don't say 'trash the tapes' cause a computer can crash......
have you tried to use a scan converter to make a PAL signal out of a fullscreen resolume signal? i usually use the TV-out function for resolume output and plug it into a videmixer, vhs tape on another channel. thats the way it works - otherwise you can use a cpture card and stream the vhs tape into resolume, so there is no need of mixing anymore
it sounds like an underscan problem.
what vid card are you using? i am using a GeForce4 and i have the same underscan problem. the image on the screen is smaller than what gets projected deirctly from a DVD.
indeed chadd, its that underscan problem. I am using a Geforce 4 as well. Resolume works fine. But we always have to zoom the beamers to get a full screen projection, but then again we overbeam the screens.
We are trying to find a solution for this, but till now we don't have one.
How about TVtool software? http://tvtool.info/index_e.htm
I haven't tried it yet but it looks like it could solve the problem, though not on all machines judging by what little I've read of it.
OK komart i will try the matrox one!!! It's all software,.... eeeeh matrox,......brother of matrix. Follow the brown rabbit eeeeekkk, lets hide.... before we get into the real world... ))))))))))
about the overscan issue; I have a geforce 4 4600 ultra and i have a overscan function right here in the detonator drivers. Go to the properties of the 2nd monitor/TV! then "Device selection" --> "Device Adjustments" Here you can move the slider of "Screen Size" to the right and TADA!! perfect fit on the tv!
